Faircount To Publish For Centenary Of Canadian Navy
Faircount is once again honoured to be collaborating with the Department of National Defence, Canada, this time with the Maritime Command, more commonly referred to as the Canadian navy.The agreement is for the production of a high quality commemorative publication on the occasion of the navy's 100th anniversary in 2010. The publication will be similar in design to the special edition Faircount produced for the Canadian Air Command in 2009. The project is part of a bigger initiative being spearheaded by the Chief of the Maritime Staff (CMS) to “Bring the Navy to Canadians.”
Events will be taking place throughout 2010 to mark the centennial with the focal point being two major international fleet reviews scheduled for June 2010 in Victoria and two weeks later in Halifax during the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo. The anniversary publication will be released June 2010 to coincide with the fleet reviews.
